About the School
The Higher Vocational School of International Trade and Business Academy offers two specializations. The Business Academy provides education for students from the age of 15 to 19. After the graduation exam, the students receive a leaving certificate. The Higher Vocational School provides education for students with completed secondary education and they finish with the graduation exam, receive a higher vocational school graduation diploma and are entitled to use the title DiS (certified specialist) after his or her name.
The school has more than 400 students and about 40 teachers. In the school building there are 27 classrooms, an assembly hall for 100 people, 5 IT classrooms with 90 computers. All classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors, a whiteboard or interactive board, and a computer. Our students can use a study room, a school library, a cloak room and a snack bar. The school offers a lot of excursions, projects, sport courses, competitions, exhibitions, theatre performances etc.
At our school socially and financially disadvantaged students are provided with financial help from the Foundation of Mirko Valenta. Our students can use the services of a school psychologist and careers adviser.
Our school participates in the European Union project Erasmus+, which provides practical training for students in foreign firms abroad every year. They stay for one month in Ireland, Germany, Spain or France and learn about the country, its people and culture. They work there in a company and gain valuable professional experience.
The Business Academy
The Business Academy provides education for students from the age of 15 to 19. After the graduation exam, the students receive a leaving certificate. The Business Academy offers three fields of study: Economy, Foreign trade and Tourism. All students have subjects as the Czech language, 2 - 3 foreign languages (English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian or French), Maths, Economics, Accountancy, Marketing, IT, PE, History, Geography, Law, Ecology, Civics. According to the specialization, economic subjects focus on either international trade or tourism. The third-year students undergo compulsory one month practical training in the Czech Republic or in foreign countries.
Graduate employment
After graduation from the Business Academy our students can study at universities, higher vocational schools or they can work in various companies or institutions. They can be employed as economists, accountants, financial advisers, secretaries, dealers, businessmen etc. They are able to work in administration and state management. The students with the specialization in foreign trade can work independently in international companies. The students with the specialization in tourism have knowledge and skills required by travel agencies, or they can also be employed in hotel or restaurant management.

The Higher Vocational School of International Trade offers three fields of study: Insurance, International trade and Tourism. All students study two languages (English, German or Spanish), Macro- and Microeconomics, Accountancy, Marketing, IT, Communication, Law, Banking, Insurance and other economic subjects. The students during their studies undergo two practical trainings in the Czech Republic or in foreign countries.
Graduate employment
After graduation from the Higher Vocational School our graduates can continue their studies at universities or according to their specialization, they can hold management positions in Czech or foreign export / import companies, public administration, travel agencies, banks or insurance companies. They can find a job as economists, accountants, financial advisers, businessmen etc. The graduates possess knowledge and skills that are essential for setting up their own business.
